Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
5:44 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, South SR 15 near West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Lorenzo A. Robertson, 25, Baltimore Avenue, Hammond; and Justin A. Powell, 23, Ranch Road, Warsaw. Robertson was driving his vehicle north on SR 15. He prepared to make a left turn, didn’t see Powell’s southbound vehicle. Both vehicles sustained front end damage. Damages up to $5,000.
10:11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, North SR 15 near West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Driver: James R. Coleman, 70, Rainbow Bend Blvd., Elkhart. Coleman was driving his vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, North SR 19 near West CR 75N, Mentone. Driver: Jeremiah D. Howard, 36, East CR 400N, Rochester. Howard was driving his vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $25,000.
4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, North CR 1000E near East CR 1250E, Cromwell. Driver: Louis M. Mediano, 39, South Walnut Street, Mentone. Mediano was assisting with a police pursuit of a subject that had stolen a vehicle and shot at police. While pursuing the subject, Mediano’s vehicle left the roadway to pursue the subject in their vehicle. Mediano followed the subject and upon reentering the roadway, misjudged the embankment angle, causing the front end of his vehicle to collide with the embankment. Damages up to $5,000.
4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, North CR 1000E near East King Arthur Trail, Cromwell. Drivers: Tristen L. Terry, 34, East Excalibur Place, Cromwell; and Michael A. Foster, 42, Ivywood Drive, Warsaw. While in a police pursuit, Terry was wanted on a warrant was being pursued in his vehicle by Foster in his own vehicle. Terry took his vehicle off-road at CR 1000E, driving in between two house trailers. Terry stopped his vehicle abruptly causing Foster’s vehicle to collide with Terry’s vehicle. Damages up to $25,000.
10:22 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, East CR 200N near North CR 650E, Warsaw. Driver: Martha J. Auker, 72, EMS B61L Lane, Warsaw. Auker was driving her vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 312 North Washington Street, Warsaw. Driver: Kathy A. Buckheit, 57, North Washington Street, Warsaw. Buckheit drove her vehicle through a fence at the Washington Street residence and collided with a clothesline post. Damages up to $2,500.
2:39 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2806 Frontage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Adam C. Goshert, 43, North CR 350W, Warsaw; and Polly A. Kintzel, North Johnson Street, Warsaw. Goshert was backing his vehicle out of parking space when the rear of his vehicle collided with the left rear of Kintzel’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
1:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, East Winona Avenue near South Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kylee D. Kesinger, 18, West Jefferson Street Apt 8, Warsaw; and Billy J. Morris, 54, North Vacation Way, North Manchester. Kesinger was driving her vehicle east on Winona Avenue when she didn’t stop at a stoplight and caused a right angle collision with Morris’ southbound vehicle. Kesinger suffered a minor head injury. Damages up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department responded to the following accident:
8:11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, Winona Avenue near Argonne Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Robert A. Teeter, 43, South Colfax Street, Warsaw; and Jeffery C. Blaylock, 47, West Oakdale Drive, Fort Wayne. Teeter turned his vehicle left at on a yellow traffic signal, didn’t see Blaylocks vehicle oncoming and collided head-on. Damages up to $10,000.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accident:
7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, SR 15 and Industrial Drive, New Paris. Drivers: Rebecca Pena, 31, Milford; and Edward Stutzman, 59, Milford. Stutzman suffered minor cuts to the head and was transported to Goshen Hospital. Pena’s vehicle struck the back of the Stutzman vehicle.
