Law Enforcement Agencies Partner Together For Christmas With A Cop
WARSAW — Law enforcement agencies throughout Kosciusko County have partnered to raise funds for Christmas with a Cop, in addition to sponsoring a local family.
Christmas with a Cop, hosted by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 149, is intended to foster the relationship between the youth of the community and law enforcement while providing clothing and toys to those in need.
According to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Hair for the Holidays started Nov. 1 and will go through the end of the year. In order to participate, employees have to pay for each month. In turn, male staff members are able to grow beards, and female staff members were entered into a raffle for a salon day. A dinner will take place in January, at which point the men will shave and the raffle will occur.
If you are interested in sponsoring Christmas with a Cop, contact Warsaw Police Detective Sergeant Jeff Ticknor at (574) 265-4160.
