TIPPECANOE VALLEY GIRLS 69, LOGANSPORT 22
A hot start catapulted the Valley girls to a win for the third time in four tries this season.
Valley took a 23-11 lead into the second quarter and didn’t look back, holding Logansport to just six points in the second half in a complete effort.
Jillian Walls set the single-game three-point record for Valley with seven made threes on the night and ended with a career-high 21 points. Walls is just one of three players in Valley history to even hit six bombs, Addy Miller and Staci Groom are the others.
Sidney Wagner and Emma Craig also had double digits in points with 15 and 11, respectively in the victory.
The Valley JV posted a 51-30 win. Rily Holloway guided the Vikes with 15 points while Corinna Stiles and Lily Ault each had nine points.
NORTHWOOD GIRLS 36, ELKHART CENTRAL 35
The Panthers rallied to clip the Blue Blazers Tuesday night at The Pit.
Trailing 26-21 in the fourth quarter, NorthWood turned to Kendal Miller, who scored all eight of her points, including a pair of threes. NorthWood also went 5-6 from the free throw line, 12-16 overall in the game.
Maddy Payne added 12 points and Alea Minnich chipped in seven first-half points.
Yiesha Williams paced the Blazers with 10 points, Daneen Stutzman and Makaya Porter each ending with nine points.
NorthWood started the night with a 28-21 win over Central.
BREMEN GIRLS 45, TRITON 17
A 13-4 second quarter was enough to spark Bremen to the lopsided win at the Trojan Trench.
Erin Coffel led the way for Bremen with 17 points and seven rebounds. Ellia Foster added 10 points in the win.
Triton, which committed 21 turnovers to just three assists, had Whytnie Miller top the scoring sheet with six points and added five rebounds and two steals.
The Triton JV came out on top with a 25-19 result over Bremen. Emma Hepler and Madeline Doll combined for 14 points to lead the Trojans. Katie Moyer had eight points for the Lions.
WAWAWSEE GIRLS 49, LAKELAND 42
Wawasee remained unbeaten on the season with a seven-point win at the Hardwood Teepee over its sectional rivals.
Danielle Jenkins led Wawasee to its third straight win with 14 points and four steals while Kennedy White dropped in 12 points and six boards. Jada Carter and Emily Haines combined for 18 points and nine rebounds.
Bailey Hartsough had 20 points to lead the Lakers, 10 of those coming in the fourth quarter.
Lindsay Doss led Wawasee with eight points and four rebounds as the Warriors won the JV game 32-27. Ava Harker had seven points and three boards and Amari Peete chipped in seven rebounds.
WAWASEE 8TH GRADE BOYS 37, MILFORD 33
Darius Lewis and Ty Brooks each finished with 14 points in the loss for Milford.
LCA MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS 39, SMITH ACADEMY 28
Three Cougars scored 37 of the 39 points for the Cougars. Isaiah Lara led the way with 20 points, Micah Martin added 10 points and Mel Norris had seven points.
