Kathy Ann Floyd
Kathy Ann Floyd, 67, Macy was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at her residence.
On Oct. 25, 1952, she was born in Rochester to Richard D. and Dorothy L. Turnipseed Stahl. Growing up, she shared her childhood with a sister, Linda. In 1971, she graduated from North Miami High School.
Kathy and David A. Floyd were married on Dec. 10, 1971, in Macy. They have shared 48 years of life’s adventures. From their union came two wonderful children, Courtney and David. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of two grandsons.
As a pharmacy tech, Kathy worked at WalMart in Wabash and Rochester. She also worked at Rochester’s Farmers and Merchants Bank and Federal Mogul of Leiter’s Ford. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She loved all types of music but especially loved cranking the tunes of Neil Diamond, Bob Seger and the Rolling Stones. As a proud Grandma, she cherished the time spent making memories with her grandsons.
Left to treasure her memory are her husband David; son David H. Floyd and wife Martha of Denver; two grandsons: Lucas and Colin Floyd; and a sister, Linda Leedy and husband Chris of Macy.
Preceding Kathy in death are her parents Richard and Dorothy Stahl and daughter, Courtney Lynn Floyd on September 13, 1996.
A celebration of the life of Kathy A. Floyd will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 in the Good Family Funeral Home,1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Pastor Matt Myers will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
