Jack L. Romig
Jack L. Romig, 86, Claypool, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, in his residence. He was born on June 2, 1933 in Fulton Co, to Jesse H. and Lulu I. (Borden) Romig. He was married to Janice J. Wenger on June 20, 1975.
He worked for Warsaw Schools for over 20 years and was the co-owner of Hometown Auto. He liked gardening, flowers, sports including Nascar Racing and football. He took great pleasure in watching the deer on his property.
Jack Romig is survived by his two stepsons, Wayne Wenger of Leesburg; Jim (Mona) Wenger of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; step-grandchildren, Janice, Brenda, Debra, Ben and Bill of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; nephews Paul (Sue) Goshert of Warsaw; Tim (Shelly) Goshert of Warsaw; great nephew and nieces, Adam, Andy, Aric, Sarah and Jennifer; great-great nephews, Braden, Beau, Evan of Clunette. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Romig, on Jan. 14, 2001.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Nov. 18, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Mike Beezley will be officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Oswego Cemetery.
