North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department Investigated the following accidents:
12:26 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 306 South Main Street, North Webster. Driver: Gregory L. Kern, 68, North SR 13, North Webster. Kern was exiting the parking lot of New Market, attempted to turn his vehicle to the right into an alley and struck a utility pole. He complained of pain in his right shoulder following the accident. Damages up to $2,500.
12:32 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, East Backwater Road near South Dixie Drive, North Webster. Drivers: Marco A. Rafael, 39, West CR 250S 33, Warsaw; and Timothy A. Kreider, 59, North CR 350W, Columbia City. Kreider was preparing to turn left onto East Backwater Road and thought Rafael’s vehicle was signaling to turn left onto South Dixie Drive. Both vehicles collided as Kreider turned east onto Backwater Road. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
11:18 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, Commerce Drive near Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Lari A. Sanabria, 22, South Lake Sharon Road, Warsaw; and Rodney C. Scott, 72, Fourth of July Avenue, Syracuse. Sanabria said she was driving her vehicle south out of the McDonald’s parking lot preparing to turn left on to Commerce Drive. She believed the road was clear and made her turn causing a collision and damage on the front passenger side of Scott’s eastbound vehicle. Scott complained of neck pain following the accident. Damages up to $2,500.
10:12 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, North Detroit Street near West CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Zane C. Reed, 19, West CR 900S, Silver Lake. Reed was driving his vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages under $750.
2:13 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, North Detroit Street near East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie R. Gomez, 24, East First Street, Weslaco, Tex; and Dale M. Wood, 32, East Garfield Street, Warsaw. Wood was driving her vehicle north on Detroit Street when the front right end of her vehicle struck the front left ned of Gomez’s vehicle at the intersection of Detroit Street and Main Street. She said she wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize the traffic signal turned red and Gomez had the green light heading west. Damages up to $2,500.
