Connie Jean Hensley
Connie Jean (Filloff) Hensley, 69, Plymouth, and formerly of Argos, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at 3:50 p.m. at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, following a very lengthy illness. On June 30, 1950, in Warsaw, she was born to Richard Wayne Filloff and Lena M. (Fisher) Filloff. Connie had lived in the Argos community since 1967, having lived in Tippecanoe.
On Feb. 15, 1967, she married Eugene Hensley in Clintwood, Va. and together they shared the past 52 years.
She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Argos.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Hensley, Argos; sons: Michael E. (Laura) Hensley, South Bend; Shelton W. Hensley, Argos; daughter: Kelly R. Hensley, Rochester; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; mother, Lena Coplen, Plymouth; sisters: Sandra (Steve) Read, Bremen; Jayne (Tim) Ganshorn, Etna Green.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Filloff; step-father, Sam Coplen; brother, Douglas Coplen and granddaughter, Chloe E. Hensley.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ; 15676 Michigan Road, Argos.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Nathan Haner of the House of Prayer United Pentecostal Church, Plymouth. Burial will follow at the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.
