Kenneth ‘Ken’ G. Hill
Kenneth “Ken” G. Hill, 66, passed away at home at 5:44 a.m., Oct. 30, 2019, with his wife by his side, after bravely battling glioblastoma brain cancer for 12 1/2 months.
He was born June 2, 1953, in Fort Wayne, to the late Kenneth A. Hill and Roselyn M. Hill. He was a 1971 graduate of Northside High School.
He had two wonderful children, Clint and Kelli, from his first marriage. He met his soulmate, Karan S. Blaine, in 1986, while running a job at North American Van Lines. They married in December of 1987.
Mr. Hill was a union glazier for almost 40 years. He took much pride in his work. He had an amazing work ethic.
Ken Hill had a way with people unlike no other. People of all ages just clicked with him. He always said the best part of his life was his family, especially his four grandchildren, whom he loved more than anything. He loved children and animals and believed you could really know a person by how well they treated kids and animals. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He loved the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He was thrilled to watch the Cubs win a World Series.
Ken Hill is survived by his wife, Karan; his son, Clint (Melissa) Hill; his daughter, Kelli (Brandon) Lockwood; his brother, Barry (Linda) Hill; his four grandchildren, Max, Leo, Drake and Aria and his best friend, Randy (Judy) Carboni.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling will be held from 3-6 p.m., Nov. 8, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubuusco.
There will be a celebration of life gathering from 7:30- 9 p.m. for close friends and family at the Boy Scout Building located in the Churubusco Park.
