Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
6:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, West US 30 near North CR 650 West, Warsaw. Driver: Gregory H. Music, 21, Beech Road, Bourbon. Music was driving his vehicle west on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $10,000.
5:14 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, West US 30 near North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Roger P. Blas, 53, East Cook Road, Fort Wayne. Blas was driving his vehicle west on US 30 near North Fox Farm Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department responded to the following accident:
6:05 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, East Main Street near North Harrison Street, Silver Lake. Drivers: Denise L. Cochran, 56, South Hoosier Drive, Silver Lake; and an unknown driver. Chocran was driving her vehicle west on SR 14 when an unknown vehicle heading east crossed the center line into Cochran’s lane of travel. She moved to the shoulder of the road in an attempt to avoid a collision. The second vehicle struck the driver’s side mirror and rear driver’s side door, leaving a dent in Cochran’s vehicle. The second vehicle left the scene and has not been located at this time, said the accident report. Damages up to $25,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department responded to the following accident:
8:25 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, Syracuse Webster Road near East Chicago Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Wilfredo Garcia-Santos, 57, Kinwood Drive, Milford; and Hannah N. Lancaster, 17, East Sleepy Hollow Parkway, Cromwell. Garcia-Santos said he was driving his vehicle north on Syracuse Webster Road when Lancaster’s vehicle, driving east, proceeded through the stop sign at the intersection of East Chicago Street. The front of her vehicle struck the back end of Garcia-Santos’. Damages up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
12:07 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 1000 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Drivers: Leysa J. Nocelotl, 18, East Ridge Valley Drive, Warsaw; and Darvin R. Lafferty, 73, North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Nocelotl was stopped at the four-way intersection at the entrance/exit to the Menards parking lot. She thought she had the right of way, began driving through the intersection and struck the front passenger side of Lafferty’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
11:33 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 1000 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Drivers: Delmar D. Troyer, 57, East Prairie Street, Leesburg; and Debra J. Moore, 55, North SR 19, Akron. Troyer said he was backing out of a parking space at Menards parking lot when his vehicle was struck in the rear by Moore’s vehicle. Damages under $750.
3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1 Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Bryant A. Brody, 16, East CR 300N, Warsaw; and Alicia L. Gordon, 18, East Market Street, Warsaw. Brody was driving is vehicle northwest and attempted to merge his vehicle into traffic to exit the school parking lot by cutting across the parking lot. Gordon was driving her vehicle into the parking lot, heading to the special needs pick up location when Brody cut across parking spaces in front of her vehicle, causing a collision. Gordon’s vehicle sustained damage in the form of a scratch on her front bumper. Brody’s vehicle sustained damage to the right rear fender area. Damages up to $2,500.
