Multiple Towns Change Trick-or-Treat Hours Due To Forecasted Inclement Weather

WARSAW — Due to forecasted inclement weather, Bourbon, Warsaw and Winona Lake have moved trick-or-treat hours to Friday, Nov. 1.
Bourbon Clerk/Treasurer Kimberly Berger said she received calls from town residents earlier this week concerning the forecast and trick-or-treat hours previously scheduled for Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.
Berger brought concerns to the town council. The council decided to change trick-or-treat hours to Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m. She could not recall any past instances where trick-or-treat hours in Bourbon were modified due to weather.
InkFreeNews also reached out to Warsaw and Winona Lake regarding their respective trick-or-treat hours. Both rescheduled trick-or-treat hours to Friday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Winona Lake’s trick-or-treat hours usually mirrors Warsaw’s, according to Winona Lake Town Manager Craig Allebach.
According to the forecast from the National Weather Service, a high of 44, rain and chances of snow with wind gusts up to 30 mph are predicted for Thursday, Oct. 31.
The forecast for Friday, Nov. 1, is sunny with a high near 43 and gusts as high as 20 mph.
