Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
2:47 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, West US 30 near North CR 875W, Warsaw. Driver: Lindsay M. Johnson, 38, Cedar Road, Bourbon. Johnson said she was driving west on US 30 when she fell asleep while driving. Her vehicle left the left side of the road and struck road signs. Damages up to $25,000.
12:46 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Driver: Josephine G. Wells, 97, East CR 200N, Warsaw. After getting gas for her vehicle, Wells backed into the parked vehicle behind hers. Damages up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
5:16 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, US 30 near CR 350W, Warsaw. Drivers: Luan E. Peckham, 65, East Main Street, Atwood; and J J. Ramirez Jimenez, 59, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Peckham said she was driving east on US 30. She did not see the traffic slowing in front of her. She did not stop in time and the front of her vehicle collided with the rear of Jimenez’s vehicle. Damages up to $25,000.
3:11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, SR 15 near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Kelley R. Hollo, 46, West Hovey Street, Atwood; and Larry L. Gregory, 77, East Kenway Drive, Warsaw. Hollo said she was in the left turn lane for the US 30 on-ramp. When the light turned green, Hollo thought she had the right of way, made a left turn and struck Gregory’s southbound vehicle in the middle of the intersection. Damages up to $10,000.
2:38 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, North Harrison Street near East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda J. Noland, 29, South Harrison Street, Warsaw. Noland drove into a utility pole that was in her blind spot as she made a left turn with her vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
11:11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, West Fort Wayne Street near North Washington Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Steven F. Hinton, 31, Marston Drive, Fort Wayne; and Donald Caudill, 76, North SR 15, Warsaw. Hinton said he was driving his vehicle east on Fort Wayne Street when he looked down at his GPS, looked up, missed a stop sign and proceed into the intersection colliding with Caudill’s vehicle. Caudill complained of pain all over this body following the accident but refused medical attention at the scene. Damages up to $5,000.
