DNR Stocking Indiana Waters With 80K Catfish
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has plans to fill waters across the state with more than 80,000 channel catfish.
According to a news release, the catfish will be between 8 and 10 inches. The project will be completed in November.
Biologists determine how many fish will be stocked by the size of the lake and other factors. The DNR said the stockings happen every year or every other year based on expected harvest rates and how many catfish are available.
