Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
8:54 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, West US 30, near North CR 700W, Warsaw. Driver: Curtis J. Metzger, 36, East SR 114, North Manchester. Metzger was traveling west on US 30 when a deer ran into the driver’s side of his vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
7:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, East CR 850S, west of South CR 700E, Pierceton. Driver: Alicia J. Fields, 28, SR 13 West, North Manchester. Fields was traveling west on East CR 850S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
7:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, East SR 14, east of South CR 600E, North Manchester. Driver: Brandon L. Fugate, 21, South CR 900W, Larwill. Fugate was traveling east on SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:55 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, West CR 600N, east of North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Driver: Amanda P. Ortega, 17, East CR 200N 180, Warsaw. Ortega was approaching railroad tracks when she accelerated her vehicle and turned left. As she did so, her vehicle became stuck on the tracks. Ortega’s vehicle sustained a flat tire. The front bumper and inner wheel well was also cracked. Damage up to $10,000.
7:22 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, North Main Street, east of West Catherine Street, Milford. Drivers: Lorna S. Mason, 58, North Buffalo Street, Warsaw; and Jerry D. Dewey, 61, North Harrison Street, Syracuse. Mason was traveling east on West Catherine Street when she stopped at a stop sign, then proceeded into an intersection. As she did so, she struck Dewey’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, South Mary Lafern Street, near East Effie Mae Street, North Webster. Driver: David A. Currie, 74, South Mary Lafern Street, North Webster. Currie was turning east onto East Effie Mae Street when he struck a stop sign. Damage up to $2,500.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
5:41 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, CR 600N and CR 1100W. Driver: Robert J. Hinman, 48, Lucerne. A deer ran into the side of Hinman’s vehicle.
11:24 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, West Rochester Street, Akron. Driver: Brittany M. Vanlue, 23, Twelve Mile. Vanlue reported her vehicle was struck while parked in a parking lot.
8:42 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, CR 1070W and CR 600S, Rochester. Driver: Karah S. Baumgardner, 22, Kewanna. Baumgardner’s vehicle hit a sign.
8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, CR 1275E and CR 225S. Driver: Miranda N. Coots, 26, Wabash. Coots’ vehicle partially went off the roadway. She was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident.
5:49 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, SR 14 and CR 650W. Driver: Jeffrey A. Yoder, 59, Kewanna. Hit deer.
4:43 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, SR 225 and CR 850S. Driver: Alec D. Holland, 22, Rochester. Holland allegedly fell asleep while driving, causing his vehicle to go into a ditch. Holland was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
11:08 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, Division Road and CR 775E. Driver: Clarence M. Garret, 33, Rochester. Hit deer.
3:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, US 31 and CR 450N. Drivers: Roxanne A. Fegley, 57, Sharpsville; and Shawn T. Rogers, 47, South Bend. Fegley’s vehicle collided with Rogers’ vehicle. Fegley complained of chest pain.
4:32 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, CR 675E and CR 700N. Driver: Julie M. Anderson, 34, Rochester. Hit deer.
8:53 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, US 31 and CR 50E, Rochester. Driver: Steven L. Keller, 44, Needham. Hit deer.
3:14 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, Zebra Lane, Rochester. Driver: Cathy A. McLeland, 66, Rochester. McLeland’s vehicle struck a guardrail.
6:01 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, US 31 and CR 700N. Driver: Gustavo Almanz-Sifuentes, 53, Fennville, Mich. Almanz-Sifuentes’s semi-tractor struck a deer.
Marshall County
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
10:42 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, Glenn Overmeyer Drive and Olive Trail. Driver: Kyle Rayl, no age listed, Winamac. Rayl’s vehicle went off the road into a ditch. Rayl was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or higher.
