Jack-knifed Truck Spills Fuel along US 30 In Warsaw
Update: CR 200N between US 30 and Biomet Drive was expected to be closed for several hours Saturday afternoon as crews work to clean up the spill.
WARSAW — A jack-knifed semi-tractor trailer caused a fuel leak on CR 200N along US 30 in Warsaw Saturday afternoon, Oct. 26.
The truck came to a stop in the eastbound lane of 200N just north of the highway.
According to scanner traffic, the truck lost a few dozen gallons of fuel that began running along the edge of the road near a ditch.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to the spill within minutes and worked to contain the fuel along the roadside and immediately under the truck where it was leaking.
Details about what led the truck to jackknife and other information were not immediately available.
Traffic was closed on 200N north of the highway while crews worked to clean up the site.
The accident happened shortly after about 12:30 p.m.
