MENTONE — The following are news items for the week of Oct. 28 – Nov. 1 from Bell Memorial Public Library.
Euchre Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in our large conference room.
The Library Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28. Board meetings are open to the public and the library encourages the public to attend, said a news release from Bell Memorial Public Library.
Business to be discussed includes estimates for roof repair/replacement that have been received, a vendor was contacted for a quote on the carpet in the Children’s Department. Unfinished business includes the library tracking patrons who visit from unserved areas. This information will be kept for purposes of statistics and the director is working on policy and guidelines for loan limits. He should have a draft by Oct. 28, said the news release.
Parents are encouraged to bring little ghosts and goblins Trick-or-Treating at the library on Thursday, Oct. 31. Trick or Treat times are from 5:30 pm -7 p.m.

Story Hour will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in the children’s room. This week’s theme is “Monsters.” Stories to be read are “The Monster at the End of the Book” by John Stone and “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak. The craft project will be making a silly shaped monster.
