Key Club Organizes Annual ‘Stuff The Bus’ Food Drive
SYRACUSE — Wawasee High School is comprised of students and staff members from the towns of Syracuse, North Webster, and Milford. All three towns have local food pantries serving the residents in their townships.
These food pantries rely heavily on donations in order to ensure they have enough supplies to serve those who require assistance.
This year, WHS Key Club will be holding its annual non-perishable food drive, Stuff The Bus, during the weeks of Nov. 4-16. The goal is to “Stuff The Bus” full of food or non-perishable items that will be donated to the Syracuse, North Webster, and Milford food pantries. The bus will be at the high school every morning for student and staff donations.
Last year Key Club collected 3,267 canned and boxed food, and non-perishable items. They are setting a goal to exceed that amount this year.
Key Club members will also be at the following locations:
• Dollar General in Milford from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12
• New Market North Webster from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14
• New Market/Dollar General in Syracuse from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16
