Heartline Donut Dash Draws Record Number of Participants
More than 240 people participated in Heartline Pregnancy Center’s 11th Walk/Run for Life on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Participants gathered for the annual 5K Walk/Run in order to raise awareness for the needs of those facing unexpected and challenging pregnancies.
The event raised more than $23,000 to help Heartline continue providing services for parents who choose life for their children. Participants enjoyed donuts and to support of Heartline’s ministry.
Participants of all ages, ranging from children in strollers to 70-plus years old, joined in the race.
The race started at the K21 Health Pavilion and continued through the Lake City Greenway.
The course contained donut stations at three different points during the race, and prizes were awarded to the top three finishers (male and female) who ate an entire donut at each one. Prizes were also awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
