‘Thanks For Giving’ theme for November First Friday
WARSAW — “Thanks For Giving” is the theme for Warsaw’s First Friday, Nov. 1.
Visitors to First Friday are encouraged to “fill the truck” with donated items. The event is being sponsored by Warsaw’s First Friday and G&G Hauling and Excavating.
The items being sought include toiletries, laundry/dish soap, winter wear, baby food/formula, cleaning supplies, maternity clothes, new blankets/sheets and nonperishable foods.
The items will be distributed to the Beaman Home, The Salvation Army, Combined Community Services, Serenity House, Fellowship Missions, Heartline and All Things New.
The evening will feature earthmoving trucks and other big machinery that the public can see up-close.
There will be an equipment rodeo, sandbox coin hunt, kiddie tractors, kindness/pet rock painting, crane basketball, concrete paperweight and more.
Partners with G&G Hauling and Excavating for the evening’s activities are IMI, Lake City Bank, Monteith’s Best One Tire & Auto Center, Kerlin MacAllister Rentals and Robinson Construction Inc.
Donations and participation in events will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. downtown Warsaw.
