The driver of this Chevrolet Cruze was transported to an area hospital after it collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee on North Indiana Avenue, Syracuse.

SYRACUSE — One person was transported to a local hospital following a crash on North Indiana Avenue, just south of Wood Street. The accident occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

The crash occurred between a Chevrolet Cruze and Jeep Grand Cherokee. After the initial impact, the Jeep continued northbound, going off the west side of the road, down an embankment and into a parked Dodge Ram truck. The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze sustained unknown injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Traffic was re-routed through the parking lot of the U.S. Post Office and on Wood Street.

Syracuse Police and Turkey Creek Fire Territory Fire and EMS responded.

Following the initial collision the Jeep Grand Cherokee continued northbound, leaving the roadway on the west side and hitting a parked Dodge Ram.
