North Webster Library Recognizes Pam Long For 10 Years Of Service
NORTH WEBSTER — Youth Librarian and Program Director Pam Long was recently recognized for 10 years of service at North Webster Community Public Library. The recognition was announced by Library Director Helen Frank.
Long joined the library staff in September 2009. Her 35 years of library experience includes serving libraries in Michigan and Indiana. Her duties involve creating and directing children’s programming including the summer reading program, researching and ordering books and materials, managing staff and promoting children’s literacy in the community.
A native of Plainwell, Mich., Long holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from Western Michigan University and a master of library science degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. She and her husband Ken live in Milford, where her husband serves on the Milford Town Council.
“We are fortunate to have a person with her level of experience and dedication serving the literacy needs of children in our community,” said Frank. “She is truly passionate about her job and helping our young patrons grow into lifelong learners.”
