PIERCETON — The public is invited to attend a free community open house for Koinonia Nature Preserve.
The open house is from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Koinonia is a 100-acre preserve owned by Manchester University. Over the years, thousands of school children have had the opportunity to visit the preserve. Now is your chance, no matter how old or young you are. Come Explore. Run in the Prairie. Sit and Watch the Birds. Learn about Koinonia. Make Memories with your Family.
There will be activities for children of all ages including guided hike-and-seek, kids fishing, a walk and discussion on the geology trail, and more.
At 7:30 p.m. there will be a night owl hike for anyone who would like to join. Come sit by the campfire and enjoy cookies and cider.
