Driver Killed In Collision On Old Road 30 Identified
ETNA GREEN – The driver of the car who died in a collision on Old Road 30 Monday afternoon has been identified.
Tony Cormeny, 60, of Bourbon, died in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
The accident happened at about 3 p.m when a sport utility vehicle headed west and driven by Cormeny crossed the center line and collided with a semi collision on West Old Road 30 near Etna Green, said a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
The semi-tractor trailer truck, a 2019 Peterbilt, was being driven by Mark Hott, 44, Kewanna.
Hott, who refused medical treatment at the scene, received minor injuries.
The Subaru struck with the Peterbilt head-on as Hott attempted to avoid the collision. The Subaru sustained significant front-end damage.
The crash remains under investigation, said the news release.
Other agencies responding to the accident included the Indiana State Police, Atwood Fire Department, Etna Green Fire Department and Lutheran EMS.
