Fundraiser Saturday For Teen Struggling with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
NORTH MANCHESTER — A benefit is set for Saturday, Oct. 5, for a family whose 16-year-old son is struggling with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
All proceeds will go to the family of Curtis and Ashtenne Reed whose son, Gage, is having serious health issues.
The event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Art’s Country Park, a campground at 4071 East 1000N, North Manchester.
Activities include a rummage sale, bake sale, and silent auction.
Some items in the silent auction include a one-year permanent camper spot at Art’s Country Park valued at $1100 (for new customers), a full photography session from CoraLee Rose Photography valued at $200 and many other items.
In a note to InkFreeNews, his mother said Gage has been fighting PMBCL lymphoma since last July. He has done multiple cycles of chemo, which did not work, and is now going through Keytruda immunotherapy every third week for a year as long as side effects do not become too severe. That strategy, she said, has finally shown signs of shrinking the tumor.
