Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
6:24 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, North CR 800W, north of West CR 400N, Etna Green. Driver: Roger L. Reed, 60, Pierce Road, Bremen. Reed was driving a tractor trailer on CR 800W when one of the tires went off the side of the road. Reed overcorrected which caused the vehicle to roll. Reed believes the vehicle rolled four times. Reed was able to cut his seatbelt and force the door open as the vehicle was already on fire. Reed was hauling over 7,000 gallons of ethanol alcohol at the time of the crash. Reed suffered injuries to his chest area and right arm. He was treated and released at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
3:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, West CR 300N, west of North CR 150W, Warsaw. Driver: Jenna R. Shriver, 33, Cherry Street, Akron. Shriver’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, South Blaine Street near West Himes Street, North Webster. Drivers: Matthew J. Dalton, 51, North Jefferson Street, Huntington; and Mary R. Tilson, 60, East CR 1000 North, Syracuse. Dalton was in his vehicle stopped at a stop sign on West Himes Street. Before proceeding through the intersection, Dalton looked for traffic but did not see Tilson driving her school bus. Dalton proceeded to turn left onto Blaine Street and collided with the side of Tilson’s school bus. No children were on the school bus at the time of the accident. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:33 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 1 Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Skyler D. Knisely, 18, South State Road 15, Claypool. Knisely was pulling her vehicle into a parking space when her vehicle collided with a parked vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
