Ronnie ‘Ron’ Jay Jarrell
Ronnie “Ron” Jay Jarrell, 49, Pierceton, passed away, at 10:49 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, in his residence. He was born April 16, 1970, in Columbia City to Clyde Jarrell and Brenda (Bays) Beck. He was married to Mishelle Lou Smith on March 22, 2003 in Wooster.
He graduated from Whilko High School in South Whitley and continued on to receive training for Semi -Trucking School in Iowa and locksmith school.
He worked as a locksmith for G & E Locksmith. He was employed as a truck driver for Knight Transportation. He enjoyed car shows and was a trophy winner in the Route 30 cruisers car club. He was involved in church and was a red and black belt in TKD. He enjoyed being a dad and a papaw. His sense of humor made everyone around him laugh.
Ron is survived by his wife, Mishelle Jarrell of Pierceton; children: Shelby (Riley) Jarrell of Columbia City; Shala (Scott) Jarrell of Columbia City; Tyler (Brittni) Elder of South Whitley; Trenten Elder of Pierceton; sibling: Lonnie Combs of Pierceton;; Linda Jarrell of Pierceton; Shiela (Lee) McFarland of Columbia City; Rhonda Jarrell of Prestonsburg, Ky.; grandchildren: Loren, Mason, Gracie, Bryson, Taden, Addison, Evan, Layton, Avery, Laylah and his mom and dad, Brenda and Don Beck.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 3, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Pastor James Jacobson will be officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. one hour prior to the service at the Pierceton Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
