Milford Man Arrested In Theft Of Moped
SYRACUSE — A Milford man was arrested after allegedly stealing a moped.
Travis Belt, 29, 309 S. Henry St., Milford, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and theft, both level 6 felonies.
On Aug. 20, an officer with the Syracuse Police Department responded to a theft at AIA Countertops. The officer spoke with a man who said sometime during the day, his red and white moped was stolen.
On Aug. 23, the officer spoke with a woman who said Belt came to her residence on Aug. 20 with a red and white moped.
According to court documents, the officer went into the residence and found Belt hiding in a bedroom. While searching Belt, the officer found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.
Officers searched the area around the residence and found a red and white moped hidden in some bushes.
Belt has an initial hearing at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.
