Bonnie L. Frieden
Bonnie L. Frieden, 88, North Manchester, passed away peacefully at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 27, 2019, at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
One of four children, she was born on July 16, 1931, in North Manchester, to George and Opal (Krom) Frieden.
She was a lifelong resident of North Manchester and graduated from Chester High School class of 1951. For 50+ years she provided care and nurturing to many children of the community as a child care provider. She was recognized for 35 years of service in the nursery at North Manchester United Methodist Church. Although she didn’t have any children of her own, she thought of each one and cared for them as if they were her own. She also cleaned houses for 50+ years. Faith was always a cornerstone in her life. She could be seen at North Manchester United Methodist Church, where she was a member, before her health declined.
She is survived by her brother: Leo Frieden, North Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Keith and Ted Frieden.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Peabody Chapel, 400 W. 7th St., North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling. Pastor Randy Myers will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley St., North Manchester.
