Robert G. Carr
Robert G. Carr, 59, Wabash, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 5, 1960, in Rochester, to Lester H. Carr and Betty (Clupper) Carr Music.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and ginseng and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing classic rock on his record player. His favorite song was “Freebird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Within the last few years of his life, he developed a relationship with Jesus and a desire to read the Bible.
He is survived by two children: Robert Gene (Crystal) Karst, Noblesville; and Summer Nickole Lothridge, Wabash; two step-sons: Johnathan Karst and Clinton Karst, both of Lagro; three grandchildren: Cara Karst, Owen Karst, and Luke Karst, all of Noblesville; and his siblings: Linnie Carr, Earnest Troy Hurt, and Cathy (Jerry) France, all of Wabash; and Tina Kay Carr, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Lester Henry “Sonny” Carr and Leslie Lee “Punky” Carr; his sister: Debra Sue Carr; and his significant other, Lisa Lothridge.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with Robert Karst officiating. Burial will be in Murphy Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The preferred memorial is the family of Robert G. Carr.
