Many lab patients at Woodlawn Hospital will remember the radiant smile of Mrs. Scott as she smoothly was able to draw blood with ease from her patients. This self taught phlebotomist trained many understudies on the proper technique. After more than 20 years of dedicated service she retired in 2013.
In Gatlinburg, Tenn., Ellen and Doug were married on June 2, 1997. They enjoyed 22 years of life’s adventures. Doug and Ellen were both members of the Indiana Shelby American Automobile Club. She was currently serving as a member of the board of directors. Summer weekends were spent boating on the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan, departing from the docks at St. Joe, Mich. They totally enjoyed the freedom and relaxation on the waters in their cabin cruiser.
Doug and Ellen Scott also looked forward to a couple of annual excursions to Bradenton, Fla. where they embraced the surf, sand and sunshine. Garage sales, auctions and junking brought them great joy while discovering treasures.
