Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, Husky Trail, south of Whitetail Run, Warsaw. A vehicle left the roadway on Husky Trail, striking a mailbox and a “Road Closed Ahead” sign. The vehicle then drove back onto the roadway and left the scene. The vehicle was later found unoccupied in a parking lot along Husky Trail. Damage up to $10,000.
6:27 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, Center Street, west of North Lake Street, Warsaw. Driver: Jon R. Leatherman, 63, EMS B40F Lane, Leesburg. Leatherman’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle as he was attempting to back into a parking space. Damage up to $5,000.
3:39 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, Bronson Street and Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Perry Peconga, 39, EMS B61 Lane, Warsaw; and Mary A. Miller, 73, Sunset Drive, Warsaw. Peconga reportedly ran a red light and his vehicle struck Miller’s vehicle, pushing her vehicle into a fire hydrant at the northwest corner of E. Center Street and Bronson Street. Miller complained of chest and neck pain but refused EMS transport to Parkview Hospital, choosing instead to be taken to the hospital by her daughter. Damage up to $10,000.
