Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Ann Owens — UPDATED
Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Owens, 65, Silver Lake, passed away at 5:20 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, in Silver Lake. She was born on Nov. 25, 1953, in Warsaw, to James and Myrtle (Byrer) Bishop. She was united in marriage to Daniel Owens on Nov. 21, 2015, in Silver Lake.
She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1972 and continued on to receive a degree from Wayne Cosmetology School in 1974.
She was the owner of Cindy’s Oil Cup & Back Porch Bait Store in Silver Lake of which she was quite proud. She was also formerly employed by Paragon Medical from 1997 until she retired in 2015 as a customer service representative. She attended Warsaw Community Church where she served in the Sunday School and Pre-School Ministries.
Cindy Owens is survived by husband, Daniel Owens of Silver Lake; children: Amanda (Jason Rivich) Miller of Winona Lake; Jason (Alecia) Miller of Wilmington, N.C.; Travis (Katie) Miller of Warsaw; Shawnte (Michael) Frieden of Roann; Austin (Corrine) Owens of Warsaw; Danielle (Logan Frye) Owens of Warsaw; siblings: Robert “Bob” (Waneta) Bishop of Leesburg; Larry (Emily) Bishop of Milford; and Judy (Dave) McIntire of South Bend. In addition, Cindy Owens is survived by grandchildren: Erin, Ethan, Michael, Sofia, Samuel, Lucas, Grayson, Landon, Amarah, Braylon, Presley, Korbin, Nora Lee and Ayla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at the Warsaw Community Church. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, also at the Warsaw Community Church with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating.
