Editor’s note: This story has been updated to reflect a delay in the West Center Street work.
WARSAW — Motorists should avoid West Center Street for two days and part of CR 300N for the next two months.
West Center Street, between Columbia Street and Pike Street, will be restricted to one lane with a flagger on Thursday, Sept. 11, and Friday, Sept. 13, according to a news release from the city. The project was expected to begin Wednesday but was pushed back one day.
This closure is for emergency sewer repairs in preparation for paving that is scheduled for next week.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes, especially when traveling to and from the Boggs Industrial Park area.
The other project is on CR 300N where a roundabout is being constructed and the road is being reconstructed.
CR 300N will be closed from Escalade Way West to the Tippecanoe River Bridge, according to the contractor, Phend & Brown.
Shelden Street will be closed north and south of 300N with no access through the intersection.
Tippe Downs Drive will be closed with no access to 300N.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes due to anticipated traffic delays. The project is expected to be completed by November.
