Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:56 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, US 30, east of Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Alejandro M. Gonzalez, 38, Mineral Springs Avenue, Winona Lake; and Ashlee R. Smith, 26, Hickory Street, Warsaw. Gonzalez’s vehicle rear-ended Smith’s vehicle as Smith was stopped at a red light. Gonzalez was arrested and charged with OWI. Damage up to $10,000.
1:09 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, Sheldon Street, north of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Driver: Taylar Roberts, 27, Smith Street, Milford. Roberts’ vehicle struck a curb as she was going around a curve in the road. After striking the curb, Roberts lost control of the vehicle and it struck the cement base of a street light fixture. Roberts complained of pain in her right hip, right leg, right shoulder and chest. She was examined by EMS at the scene but refused transport to a hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
7:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, North CR 150W, north of Executive Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Ruby G. Ayala, 19, Old Road 30, Warsaw; and Jayne E. Brunetto, 63, Lakewood Hills Drive, Warsaw. Ayala’s vehicle rear-ended Brunetto’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, North CR 150W, south of US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeannine M. Boyer, 75, Lake Street, Warsaw; Sarah E. Stinfer, 31, of Warsaw; Andy J. Nelson, 30, Kinney Drive, Warsaw; and Matthew D. Tedesco, 25, Chamberlin Drive, Warsaw. Boyer said she was traveling north on CR 150W and when she came up over the hill she did not notice that traffic was stopped at the intersection. Her vehicle rear-ended Stinfer’s vehicle, which caused a chain reaction with Stinfer’s vehicle striking the back of Nelson’s vehicle and Nelson’s vehicle striking the back of Tedesco’s vehicle. Boyer complained of chest pain and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Stinfer and a passenger in her vehicle were both taken to Parkview Hospital in Warsaw to be checked out. Damage up to $25,000.
2:46 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, SR 15 and West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Michelle K. Black, 25, Blue Water Court, Fort Wayne; and Brenda C. Welling, 63, North CR 175E, Warsaw. The vehicles collided when Black’s vehicle pulled into the path of Welling’s vehicle. Welling complained of pain in her chest, legs, left wrist and neck. She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Black complained of knee pain. Black was issued a traffic station for driving without a valid license. Damage up to $25,000.
