SYRACUSE – Warrior Swimming will be conducting registration and swimming evaluations for returning and new swimmers the week of September 9th for the upcoming swim club.
Anyone interested in joining the team can attend registration/practice at the WMS pool from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Beginning level swimmers will practice Monday, Tuesday and Fri from 5:30-6:15 and can attend all or just the practices that fit into their schedules. Schedules and additional information are available on the team website. The team registration portal is now open and can be found on www.warriorswimming.org.
Warrior Swimming is open to swimmers of all school ages. The purpose of Warrior Swimming is to provide a program and environment to encourage the pursuit of excellence in competitive swimming, through challenging and fun practices, for girls and boys in Wawasee schools and the surrounding area.
Updates can be found on the team Facebook page “Warrior Swimming”. Swimmers need a suit, goggles and towel. There is a limited supply of goggles available for purchase from the team, see one of the coaches. All swimmers will be registered with USA Swimming and will receive a team cap and T-shirt.
All swimmers will have until Sept. 20 to try the team out. Registration fees will be due the first week of practice (and held until 9/20) and training fees will be due at a later date. All new swimmers will need a copy of their birth certificate for USA Swimming registration purposes. Warrior Swimming offers an outreach program for swimmers who receive free and reduced lunch. Contact one of the coaches for additional information on that opportunity.
