WARSAW — A Warsaw Community school bus sheared off a water hydrant and hit a business sign on South Buffalo Street shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, in Warsaw.
A fire official said the bus was not carrying any students at the time of the accident.
A witness, who declined to give his name, said the bus was headed north in the 600 block of South Buffalo when it crossed the center line and went through the opposite lane of traffic before clipping off the top of a hydrant and hitting a business sign for Hydro Spray Car Wash. Damage to the sign appeared to be minor.
The bus driver was put on a stretcher and into an ambulance, but her condition was not known.
