Warsaw Cross Picks Up Wins At Goshen

GOSHEN — Warsaw’s boys cross country team picked up a narrow, 27-28 Northern Lakes Conference win at Goshen Tuesday, while the Lady Tigers cruised to a comfortable, 18-45 win.
Leading Warsaw’ boys were Jacob Kissling in second place overall (17:39) and Tanner Stiver in third (17:45). Sam Lechlitner finished fifth (17:50), Fernando Niebbia was eighth (18:11), and Harrison Phipps placed ninth (18:12).
Wini Barnett paced the girls’ field in first place, while Amanda Lusinde was second, Erika Bugg finished fourth, Ava Knight was fifth, and Macelyn Marcuccilli rounded out the scoring as the Lady Tigers took 16 of the top 20 spots with nine placing in the top 10.
Warsaw will be back in action Saturday at the Marion Invite at IWU at 10 a.m.
