Steven D. “Steve” Hoover, 67, Syracuse, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw. He was born on Oct. 10, 1951, in Warsaw to Guy Albert and Pauline Beatrice (Wogoman) Hoover.

He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and graduated in 1970 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. He was married on Jan. 13, 1990, in Syracuse to Michelle Marie Mansfield who survives. He was the former owner and operator of Hoover Brothers Trucking in Syracuse.

He is a member of the Eagles Lodge in Syracuse and former member of the Sons of the American Legion in Syracuse.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Turina Hoover, South Bend; Chandra Hoove, Warsaw; son, Jared (Kymberley Gunkel) North Webster; four grandchildren; brother, John Hoover, Syracuse.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Hoover.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. A private family celebration of life service at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
