Slight Chance Of Severe Storms Tuesday Night, NWS Warns
WARSAW — A slight risk for severe storms exists Tuesday night, Sept. 3, for northern Indiana that could bring with it damaging winds and large hail, the National Weather Service said.
The forecast for this afternoon predicts partly sunny skies and a high near 84. Wind will increase this afternoon with gusts up to 20 mph, the weather service said.
In Kosciusko County, thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, capable of heavy rainfall, damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado.
The chance of precipitation is 70% tonight. New rainfall amounts could total more than half an inch.
Clear and mostly sunny conditions are expected Wednesday through Friday. High temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 70s.
