Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
7:35 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, East SR 14, east of South SR 13, North Manchester. Driver: Gabrielle Craft, 17, South CR 500E, Warsaw. Craft was traveling east on SR 14 when her vehicle left the roadway, striking an embankment and entering a field. Craft complained of neck, back and arm pain and was taken to Parkview Hospital in Columbia City. Damage up to $10,000.
9:18 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, North CR 150W, south of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Mark A. Begley, 56, North Tippecanoe Shores, Tippecanoe. Begley was traveling south on CR 150W when his vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree and going into a ditch. Begley sustained a minor head injury. Damage up to $1,000.
1:39 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, County Farm Road, south of West CR 350S, Warsaw. Driver: Jordan I. Caudill, 16, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Caudill was traveling north on County Farm Road when a deer entered the roadway. This caused Caudill’s vehicle to leave the roadway, striking a utility pole. Caudill complained of hip pain and said her family would take her to the hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
2:46 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, West CR 600N, near North CR 200W, Warsaw. Drivers: Charley R. Cooper, 62, North Blue Heron Drive, Warsaw; Brian J. Tucker, 34, North CR 400W, Leesburg; and Arthur J. Wendt, 76, South US Highway 421, Francesville. Cooper was traveling south on CR 200W and stopped at a stop sign. When he pulled into the intersection, he didn’t notice Tucker’s vehicle traveling east on CR 600N. This caused Tucker’s vehicle to strike the front of Wendt’s vehicle. Tucker complained of head, arm and ankle pain and was taken to Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital. Damage up to $50,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:54 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, East CR 1400N, east of North CR 150E, Milford. Driver: Scott R. Looney, 35, Amber Court, Goshen. Looney was traveling east on CR 1400N when a deer struck his motorcycle. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:55 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, SR 13, west of 612 N. First St., Pierceton. Drivers: Donna G. Hooks, 45, North Jefferson Street, Silver Lake; and Debra F. Newswanger, 56, South Third Street, Pierceton. Hooks was attempting to turn left from a private parking lot onto SR 13 when she struck Newswanger’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
