Lady Panthers Top NLC 3-way
WARSAW — Warsaw and NorthWood played for the second time in four days in a three-way Northern Lakes Conference meet with Elkhart Memorial at Stonehenge Tuesday.
The defending NLC-champ Lady Panthers fired a 153 to top Warsaw’s season-low 180, which in turn topped Elkhart Memorial’s 191.
Cybil Stillson paced the field with a 1-over 36, while Breanna Goss, Kirsten Schrock and Delaney Davis all shot 39 for NorthWood. Makenna Gall carded 45 for NorthWood, which opened nine-hole play at 3-0 as well as 2-0 in the NLC.
Marie Frazzetta led Warsaw with a 44, followed by dual 45s from Grayson Kilburn and Delaney Byron, and Sydney Lancaster was just a stroke back at 46. Brooklyn Fitzgerald’s 57 was the Lady Tigers’ fifth score, as the team slipped to 7-2 and opened conference play at an even 1-1.
Lily Ball fired a 38 to lead Memorial, followed by Courtney King’s 41.
NorthWood’s junior varsity also won its meet with Warsaw Tuesday, 200-256, while Memorial fielded an incomplete JV team.
Kylee Gall’s 44 was the JV low medal, while Abbie Richner shot 45, Riley Kitson carded 54, and Bella Sechrist shot 57.
Bethany Johnson led the JV Tigers with a 56, Alicia Johnson shot 60, and Claire Deeter and Lilly Kelsey both shot 70.
NorthWood will host a senior night match with Concord Thursday at McCormick Creek at 5 p.m.
Warsaw also returns to action Thursday at Maxwelton versus host Wawasee and Northridge at 5 p.m.
