Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
9:02 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, North CR 850E, south of East CR 350N, North Webster. Driver: Judith M. Walter, 54, Old SR 13, Pierceton. Walter’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
4:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, East CR 400S and South CR 400E, Warsaw. Driver: Kathleen N. Clay, 27, East CR 100S, Pierceton. Clay’s vehicle struck a guardrail. Clay was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with complaint of neck and chest pain. Damage up to $5,000.
5:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, Country Club Road, north of East CR 550S, Warsaw. Driver: Travis E. Stockton, 34, North Merkle Street, North Manchester. Stockton’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
6:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, SR 15, north of West CR 550S, Claypool. Driver: Brady M. Prater, 25, East Market Street, Warsaw. Prater said a small animal entered the roadway. In an attempt to avoid the animal, Prater swerved, resulting in his vehicle exiting the roadway and entering a soybean field, causing damage to the soybean crop. Damage up to $750.
9:18 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, South CR 750W and West Kokomo Road, Silver Lake. Driver: Deborah S. Ballinger, 68, East CR 500S, Upland. Ballinger’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Richard L. Parker, 66, High Street, Fort Wayne. Parker was backing his vehicle out of a space in the Pizza Hut parking lot when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:34 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, Market Street, west of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Josiah A. Thilmony, 19, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Thilmony’s vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle as he was attempting to park. Damage up to $5,000.
6:56 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, SR 15 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jane M. Ciriello, 55, Creek Bend Lane, Milford. Ciriello was stopped in the left travel lane at the traffic light at the intersection when she said another vehicle pulled up in the lane next to her and then suddenly merged into the left travel lane to continue southbound on North Detroit Street, causing a collision. Ciriello said the other vehicle continued on without stopping. Ciriello complained of neck and she pain but refused EMS treatment on scene. Damage up to $10,000.
