Girls Golf Results: Aug. 22
WAWASEE 187, MARIAN 193, WESTVIEW 238
The Lady Warriors collected a pair of wins over Mishawaka Marian and Westview on their way to a 7-0 record in duals in a three-way at Maxwelton Thursday.
Tate Cowan led Wawasee with her 43, while Belle Brunner salvaged a 44 despite a somewhat off night, and Ava Harker carded 48 for the home team. Valerie Haessig and Taylor Cripe both turned in 52s at the meet.
Wawasee’s JV fell in a close meet with Marian, 249-252, meanwhile.
The Lady Warriors will play in the Rochester Invitational Saturday morning.
WABASH 188, WARSAW 189, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 194
The Lady Tigers fell just short of Wabash at Round Barn, while Tippecanoe Valley was also close but lost both legs of a competitive three-way meet Thursday evening.
Sydney Lancaster and Marie Frazzetta led the Tigers with scores of 46, Delaney Byron carded 48, and Grayson Kilburn shot 49 in a consistent top four finish for Warsaw. Brooklyn Fitgerald’s 57 was the team’s fifth score.
Madelyn Weaver carded 44 to lead the Lady Vikings, while Molly Moriarty shot 47, Kaydence Mellott turned in a 51, and Lily Ault shot 52 in a season-low nine-hole score for the Valley team. Lydia Miller shot 55.
Valley will be in action again this Saturday at the Rochester invitational.
The Tigers play host at the Warsaw Invite on Saturday at Stonehenge Golf Club.
