Barbara Kay Wuthrich
Barbara Kay Wuthrich, 69, Milford, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 22, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born May 14, 1950, in Bremen, the daughter of Russell and LaVerne (Zellers) Swank. She married Dennis Wuthrich on June 21, 1975; he survives.
Born and raised in the area, Mrs. Wuthrich was a graduate of Bremen High School in1968. She was a long-time member of The Milford First Brethren Church, the Red Hat Society, Columbian Reading Circle, the Friends of the Library and a longtime member of the NWTA (North West Territorial Alliance) reenacting group. She was involved with the Supper Club Bible Study, enjoyed crafting, sewing, gathering around campfires with family and friends. She loved her family and never knew a stranger. She touched the lives of many people in the community and will be dearly missed by them all.
She is survived by her husband Dennis of 44 years of Milford; her children, Dawn (Todd) Mikel of Syracuse; Karin (Dave) Clark of Florence, Ore.; Dan (Julie) Wuthrich of New Paris; Renee (Travis) Schlabach of Syracuse; seven grandchildren: Brook, Colin, Darin, Matthew, Lauren, Harmony and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Diana Kuehl and a grandson, Brendon Wuthrich.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be given to The Milford First Brethren Church.
