WARSAW BOYS SOCCER 3, ARGOS 1
A challenge at the half awoke the Tigers to run past Argos Wednesday night at Warsaw.
“The first half, the boys came out strong and Argos showed up to compete,” stated Warsaw head coach Frank Courtois. “We had a few attempts in the first half but didn’t capitalize. We went into the half 0-0, and during halftime, the coaching staff challenged the boys to come out strong and play a stronger second half.”
The message was received, as Blake Burns scored for Warsaw in the first minute of the second half, and Jorge Rico followed up seven minutes later. Tedros Berelsman used an assist from Ethan Grill to pound in the third Tiger goal.
