Frank N. Manwaring
Frank N. Manwaring, 82, Warsaw, and formerly of Mentone went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family at 10:27 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.
He was born on July 30, 1937, in Warsaw, to the late Charles L. and Ellener E. (Nye) Manwaring.
He married on Aug. 14, 1960, in Warsaw, to Mary Helen Miner, she survives.
He was an owner and President of Manwaring Leghorn Farms as well as being on the board of directors of Farmers State Bank which he joined in 1988.
Frank was a 1955 graduate of Mentone High School and then furthered his education at Purdue University where he was a part of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a member of the Dutchtown Brethren Church and the Mentone United Methodist Church. He served as the past director of the United Egg Producers and American Egg Board, past director of Camp Mollenhour, and a past member of the Tippecanoe Lake and Country Club and the Venice Golf and Country Club. He also had been awarded the Indiana State Poultry Association Gold Egg Award. He also served on the Purdue University School of Agriculture Dean Advisory Counsel. He was also a member of the Mentone Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine of Ft. Wayne where he enjoyed mini bike patrol. He took pleasure in the time he spent golfing, fishing, and being around horses.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Manwaring, Warsaw; daughters: Jennifer Manwaring, Warsaw; Julie (Scott) Reed, Warsaw; son: Neil Samuel Manwaring, Warsaw; grandchildren: Grant Reed, Griffin Reed, Anna Manwaring and Zane Manwaring; brother, James L. (Jo) Manwaring, Warsaw. Preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will take place with burial in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Visitation hours will be from 3-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone.
