WINONA LAKE — The public is invited to “paint the town purple” by participating in the Angel Run 5k & Beaman Home 35th Anniversary Block Party Saturday, Sept. 28.
The event will be held at Winona Lake Limitless Park, located at 1590 Park Ave., Winona Lake.
“Purple is the awareness/support color for domestic violence victims, much like pink is the color for breast cancer awareness,” Beaman Home Executive Director Jennifer Hayes explained.
Registration fee for the 5k is $35 if registered by Sept. 10, and $40 after Sept. 10 and onsite (race t-shirt not guaranteed after 9/10 or onsite). The block party is free and will feature food trucks, local performers, games and face painting. This is a family-friendly event for all ages.
The Angel Run 5k Run/Walk onsite registration begins at 9 a.m. The 5k will begin at 10 a.m.
At 11:30 a.m. Angel Run 5k awards will be presented. The block party begins at noon and is free to the public.
