Angel Run 5K, Beaman 35th Anniversary Block Party To Be Held Sept. 28
WINONA LAKE — The public is invited to “paint the town purple” by participating in the Angel Run 5k & Beaman Home 35th Anniversary Block Party Saturday, Sept. 28.
The event will be held at Winona Lake Limitless Park, located at 1590 Park Ave., Winona Lake.
“Purple is the awareness/support color for domestic violence victims, much like pink is the color for breast cancer awareness,” Beaman Home Executive Director Jennifer Hayes explained.
Registration fee for the 5k is $35 if registered by Sept. 10, and $40 after Sept. 10 and onsite (race t-shirt not guaranteed after 9/10 or onsite). The block party is free and will feature food trucks, local performers, games and face painting. This is a family-friendly event for all ages.
The Angel Run 5k Run/Walk onsite registration begins at 9 a.m. The 5k will begin at 10 a.m.
At 11:30 a.m. Angel Run 5k awards will be presented. The block party begins at noon and is free to the public.
Funds raised from this event will to toward supporting the mission and programs of the Beaman Home.
