Advance Manufacturing Class Vies For $25,000 Grant In Online Poll
WARSAW — The Warsaw Area Career Center’s (WACC) Advanced Manufacturing Class project is a finalist in a bid to win $25,000 through the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Grant.
The proposal for this grant was one of 2,000 entries and has been selected as one of the 200 finalists.
There will be 40 nonprofit winners, each receiving a $25,000 grant, and will be chosen by means of a public vote. Voting began Aug. 14 and ends Friday, Aug. 23.
This is a new class at the Warsaw Area Career Center that has been highly successful nationwide and winning this grant would be a huge funding relief during the first few years, according to a news release from State Farm.
The voting is open to anyone 18 years of age or older with a valid email address. Voting can be done at this link. Each voter can vote up to 10 times per day.
