NORTHWOOD AT LAPEL INVITATIONAL
The Lady Panthers added some more hardware to their trophy case with a 314 for the championship at the Lapel Invite at Edgewood Golf Course in Anderson Saturday. NorthWood’s score was a full 15 strokes better than host Lapel, while Westfield slotted in at third place with a 333.
Cybil Stillson finished second overall with a 1-over-par 72, just two strokes back of Lapel’s Macy Beeson and her low-medalist round of 70. Kirsten Schrock finished fifth in the individual standings with a 77, Makenna Gall and Breanna Goss put up respective scores of 82 and 83, and Delaney Davis shot 93 for the ninth-ranked Panthers.
Wood will play next on Tuesday in a dual with Fairfield at home at McCormick Creek at 5 p.m.
WARSAW 374, CHESTERTON 391
Warsaw hosted Chesterton on Saturday at Stonehenge Golf Club, and the Lady Tigers came out on top in the 18-hole dual. Leading the way for Warsaw was Marie Frazzetta and Grayson Kilburn, who earning co-medalist honors with scores of 89. Delaney Byron put up a 95, while Sydney Lancaster shot 101, and Brooklyn Fitzgerald finished in 107 for the Tigers .
Warsaw’s junior varsity played nine holes on their home course, meanwhile, carding a 264 Saturday. Bethany Johnson led the JV Tigers with a 58, Alicia Johnson and Claire Deeter shot dual 68s, and Lilly Kelsey put up a 70.
The Lady Tigers (4-0) travel to Norwood Golf Course to take on Huntington North on Wednesday with a 5 p.m. start time.
