Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

6:05 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, County Farm Road, north of CR 600S, Warsaw. Driver: Sarah N. Huffman, 51, West CR 600S, Claypool. Huffman told police she was driving her vehicle north on County Farm Road when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Syracuse

Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:51 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Courtney E. Coles, 21, Matthew Circule, Monclova, Ohio; Garrett B. Baldridge, 33, North Main Street, Syracuse. Coles told police she was backing her vehicle out of a parking space and backed it into a parked vehicle she had not previously seen. Damage up to $1,000.

5:38 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, South Huntington Street, north of East Pittsburg Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Juan C. Diaz, 34, North 7th Street, Goshen; Andrew Spears, 29, North Hickory Street, Warsaw. Police said Diaz was driving his vehicle south on Huntington Street and Spears was driving northbound. Police said Diaz turned his vehicle into the path of the Spears vehicle. Diaz was arrested for not having a license. Damage up to $2,500.
