UPDATE: Five Injured In Two-Vehicle Accident In Leesburg
LEESBURG — At 5:03 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, Lutheran EMS and Leesburg Fire Department were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of CR 700N and CR 300E, Leesburg.
Marilyn L. Freiburger, 67, North Front Street, Syracuse, was driving a 2014 Ford Escape and was headed east on CR 700N, approaching CR 300E. A 2016 Honda CR-V driven by Morris R. Stewart, 84, Panorama Drive, North Webster, was traveling south on CR 300E, approaching CR 700N.
Freiburger stopped at a stop sign and then pulled out, striking Stewart’s vehicle. Stewart did not have a stop sign.
Freiburger complained of chest pain following the collision. Stewart complained of pain to his abdomen.
Two passengers in Freiburger’s vehicle, Memphis J. Freiburger, 9, Syracuse, had an abrasion to his neck; and Kathy S. Anglin, 57, Nappanee, complained of lower leg pain.
A passenger in Stewart’s vehicle, Michael J. Stewart, 65, Syracuse, complained of chest pain.
North Webster Fire Department was later called in to assist. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was also on scene.
